Weekly challenges

First we have CAS challenge #242 is

and I turned the sketch round and did this

02Oct2017a

which is a very effective way of using up those scraps of dsp we can’t bear to throw out.

The other entries are here

The design actually fits in with the #GDP 107 theme of grateful and you can see the other entries here

I had intended to enter #GDP 106 but missed the deadline – here is my design anyway as I thought you might like to see a Christmas card!  I was preparing ideas for our Charity card event on 14th October.  I won’t show you the final design – you’ll have to be there to see it 🙂

02Oct2017

Do check out my online shop as there are lots of good offers on at the moment, let me know if you have any questions.  If you are ordering please use the hostess code on the side bar and I will send you a little bonus gift – but I can only do that if you tick the box to say I can see your details!

Retiring Products

This is a time of year with mixed emotions – excitement at the up-coming new catalogue and sadness at the imminent loss of the retiring products.  Two I am really sad to be losing are the decorative label and petite petal punches so I thought I’d use them for this week’s challenges.  Both are sketches this week

CAS colurs and sketches challenge #218 is

And here are my entries using some retiring colours and some that are continuing

The Global Design Project GDP#082 was similar

I hope you like my interpretations. I particularly like the combination of mint macaron (retiring) with sweet sugarplum – even better in reality than in the photos.  The backgrounds were made by inking up the retiring lovely lace embossing folder before putting it through the big shot, one using the ‘front’ and one the ‘back’, I’m always torn between which I prefer!

If you’d like to get your hands on some of these products – especially the ones that are about to retire – you can do so through my online shop above or by clicking below .

2 weeks till Christmas

I can’t believe Christmas has crept up on me once again!

My classes have finished for the year so now I’m concentrating on sending out the cards I’ve made.   I thought I’d show you one of my favourite sets, done using the 1 sheet wonder technique

Dec_2016_b wm.JPGIt’s lovely to make several cards at once using this technique.  Get in touch if you’d like me to show you how it’s done.

The list below shows the products you need.  YOu can order them through my online store 🙂

Everyone loves cupcakes

If someone says food, what do you think of?  For me it has to be some sort of cake 🙂 so when I saw that the GDP challenge was food I reached for the cupcake stamp.  Combined with the colours from the CAS challenge this is what I came up with cupcake (1)

Pretty tempting I hope you’ll agree even though it’s not as tasty as the real thing.

Here are the details of the challenges

#CAS189

CC&S_#189
