Jar of love

Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet recently – both ‘children’ are off at university now so , in theory anyway, I’ve got more time….we shall see!

Anyway, this week both challenges were colour themes so I decided to see the different looks you can get with the Jar of love set, I think you’ll agree the cards are very different.

Firstly the CAS#241

and my cards are

24Sep2017

and

24Sep2017a

You can see the other entries here

The global design project #GDP105 wanted some very different colours

so I came up with

24Sep2017b

It looks so different doesn’t it?  (Other entries here)

More Eastern Beauty

I’m continuing to explore the Eastern Palace possibilities ready for the all day classes I have coming up in August (contact me for details) so thought I’d use it for this week’s challenges

and

I designed 1 card to fit both so hope you like it

Eastern Beauty

Well the Eastern Beauty stamp set and matching thinlits are just so beautiful that there’s too much  to choose from for a normal class!!  Instead, purchase either the stamps, dies or bundle (see pictures below) by contacting me and for just an additional £10 you will receive a goody bag and the chance to play with them for a whole day.  I will be on hand with ideas and inspiration.

Here’s just one of the many, many cards you can make with this bundle

Tranquil tulips

I’m loving this new hostess set so thought I’d use it for the challenges this week.  It seems ages since I did a challenge, how did that happen???

Anyway, here goes

For the global design project #GDP094 there’s a sketch

(You can view the other entries here) and this is my interpretation

07July2017

This was inspired by some of the colours on CAS challenge #230 (other entries here)

which I also used for this card

07July2017a

The sketch was from the previous week but I missed the deadline…..

Challenge Blog – 21/08/2016

This weeks challenges were both to use certain sets of colours and I must admit, I found it a challenge!

For both I chose to play with the Thoughtful Branches set.

This was the challenge set by CAS Colours and Sketches:

CC&S color187-001

I cut out trees in ‘sweet sugarplum’ and ‘chocolate chip’, and then swapped the frames and trees:

They look quite different don’t they? Which do you prefer? I used the blossom stamp all over the third card front to create a pattern:

Check out other designs here

For the Global Design Project #GDP049 I carried on pattern making to produce 2 quite different cards. I love that it’s hard to tell what the stamps are ‘meant’ to be!

These are the colours they set:

And here are my cards:

Here are other people’s designs

If you want to make some cards like this, why not join me for a class?

Remember that the thoughtful branches bundle is only available until the end of August, so order now to avoid disappointment!

New catalogue, new colours

I’m really loving the 2016-18 In Colours, I thought sweet sugarplum would be my favourite but to my surprise I think it has to be….peekaboo peach!

P1090266a

I was really pleased with this very simple card . It shows off the colour and the stamp set at their best (she says modestly!)
